Trade meaning gay slang

Trade is a gay slang term which refers to the casual partner of a gay man or to the genre of such pairings. [1] Men falling in the category of "trade" are not gay-identified.

That is, Trade primarily present themselves as heterosexual in their lives and NOT part of the queer community. They’re called Trade because they’re imported, traded in. That’s why there’s argument to be made that nobody on drag race could possibly be Trade.
